Tan, Chee-Tseng.-Born in Yung-Kiang, Szechuen, 1890. Studied at Hua-Yung Middle School, Chengtu, 1904-8; at Szechuen Provincial College, Chengtu, 1908-10; at Tsing Hua College, Peking, 1910-11. Arrived in America, September, 1911. Government support. Studied Economics at the University of Michigan, 1911-16. A.B., 1915; A.M., 1916. Returned to China, October, 1916.
